KOLKATA: The plenum being held in Kolkata now will not discuss assembly poll alliances of states including Kerala and West Bengal, said CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechuri. The plenum will not discuss the tricks to be taken during the polls, he said at the press meet.
Talks to strengthen the organizational system of the party is being held now. Talks on poll alliances will be held after the plenum. The decisions taken at the party congress on alliances will be executed, explained Yechuri.
It is a great achievement to reduce factionalism in the party in Kerala. Gradually, factionalism will be completely eradicated. In reply to a question, he said it was the Bengal leadership who gave a seat to V S Achuthanandan who is not a politburo member at the inaugural function of the plenum.
Only the Left Front is able to accomplish an alternative secular, he said.
