Sabarimala pilgrim killed in accident

THRISSUR: A Sabarimala pilgrim from Bengaluru was killed when the car in which he was travelling with three others rammed a transformer at Thiruvatra, near Chavakkad. The three other pilgrims suffered critical injuries in the accident. The police identified the dead as Puneeth, 22, of Muneeswara Nagar, Bangalore. The injured are Anand, 24; Manikandan, 22; and Krishna 25. They were admitted to a private hospital in Thrissur. The team started from Bangalore on Sunday. The transformer fell on to the car as the vehicle rammed it.
