Accused in TP murder should be removed from party, says VS

NEW DELHI: Opposition leader and CPI (M) stalwart V.S. Achuthanandan on Saturday said at the CPI (M) Central Committee that those accused in the murder of T.P. Chandrasekharan should be removed from the party.

He said people believe that some leaders in the party have a role in the murder. The party’s state secretary and some leaders work in a way which strengthens the belief, he said.

VS also blamed the party by saying that it did not pay any attention to his continuous demand to remove Pinarayi Vijayan from the post of state secretary for the latter’s involvement in the SNC Lavalin scandal.
