BSF jawan held for misbehaving with woman in train


THRISSUR: The railway police arrested a BSF jawan identified as Sathyan, native of Alappuzha, for misbehaving with a woman of Pathanamthitta and a cancer patient, in the Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai Mail. Sathyan in an inebriated condition misbehaved with the 50 year-old woman last night in the AC coach when the train reached Thrissur.


The woman was on her way to Chennai for treatment. The woman lodged a complaint to the Palakkad railway police. Other passengers of the bogie caught him and handed him over to the police. As the incident happened under the limits of the Thrissur railway police the accused and the case will be handed over to them. The man was going to Tripura for duty via Chennai.


A similar incident happened at the Nedumbassery International Airport also.  A CISF jawan in charge of security at the airport, misbehaved with an employee of a private agency. The issue was solved after a written complaint was not lodged. A departmental inquiry by the CISF has started.


The police had on Monday arrested an official of Kottayam A R Camp for misbehaving with an engineering student travelling in the Kozhikode-Janashatabdi Train.
