Dies of burns

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A woman died of burns in the Government Medical College Hospital. Malika, 35, of Elluvila, near Karakonam, was referred there from a private hospital. The police suspect she set herself on fire using kerosene.


A 38-year-old man has been admitted to the hospital with burns sustained in another incident. Naushad from Ayathil, near Kollam, has been admitted to the casualty in a critical condition. The police told the hospital authorities that they suspected him to have set himself afire with petrol.
