Ice-cream case: SC directs to give re-investigation report to VS

Thursday, July 5, 2012: The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that Opposition leader VS Achuthanandan has every right to get the re-probe report on ice cream parlour case.


The Court also made it clear that VS has every right to intervene in a case as a public servant. The SC also wanted to send a notice to the state government on VS petition. The court has asked the state government to submit the return affidavit within four weeks.


Earlier, the Kerala High Court rejected the petition filed by VS who sought the probe report based on the revelations of KA Rauf.
