Illegal rally: 13 bikes seized

The Kochi City Police on Sunday seized 13 bikes of ‘Team Road King Cochin Group’ who had undertaken an unauthorised bike rally here.


The bikers, who started their rally from Vyttila to Chatyath road through MG Road, violated traffic rules, the police said and added that the rally was conducted without prior permission. “The riders had violated the speed norms of the city. They also created noise pollution and thereby disturbed the public,” said a police official. The bikes were taken into custody under the leadership of Kochi City Police Commissioner M R Ajith Kumar. The police also said that the bikes will be produced before the Magistrate Court on Monday.


The police also registered a case against the riders.
