KOTTAYAM: Kerala Congress (Jacob) Chairman Johny Nelloor Thursday said that legal action had been taken against Deshabhimani and Janayugam dailies for continuously publishing defamatory news against the party. At a news conference here, he said disciplinary action was taken against Roy Varikatt, working committee member of the party. He was suspended from the party.
Nelloor appealed to the union government to take steps to control the price of fertilizers and also to give subsidy to farmers.
Farmers were in a crisis following the price fall of cash crops, he said, adding government should announce support price for cash crops.
