M M Mani suspended for six months, Hamza walks free

THIRUVANANTHAURAM: CPM Idukki district former secretary M M Mani has been suspended for six months from the state committee for his controversial speech that the party had eliminated political foes in the past. The decision was taken by the party state panel convened in the capital city.

Meantime, no action has been taken against state panel member T K Hamza for his statement against opposition leader and CPM central committee member V S Achuthanandan.  Hamza said VS has the habit of ‘stabbing the party from the back’ whenever the party faced a crisis or an attack from its opponents.
