Man hacks wife, commits suicide
KASARGOD: A man allegedly committed suicide after attacking his wife at Chayyom, near Nileswaram in Kasargod on Monday. Police said Balakrishnan, who hacked his wife Narayani (55), allegedly committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling of his house. The woman, who sustained serious injuries, was shifted to a hospital in Mangalore. Preliminary investigation had hinted that the couple had an altercation over mortgaging of land, police added.
