Paravur case: Court awards life sentence to victim’s father

Thursday, July 26, 2012: Sudhir, the victim’s father and the prime accused in the Paravur sex racket case, is awarded with life imprisonment and a penalty of Rs 50000. The amount is to be given to the victim.


The additional sessions court in Ernakulam today heard the case and in consideration of the victim’s safety, it was a secret inquest.


The charge sheet was submitted against 49 persons involved in the case. The prosecution produced 46 witnesses and 79 supporting documents.
