Revelations against Sudhakaran: Govt ready to conduct probe by district IG

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan told the assembly Thursday that the government are ready to conduct probe on the revelations against K Sudhakaran MP by the district IG. The minister said this after the opposition LDF said they don’t have faith in the present investigating team.

Earlier the charge on the probe was given to Thrissur range IG S Gopinath. Thiruvanchoor said this in reply to the adjournment motion moved by opposition deputy leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan seeking a discussion on the revelations of Prashant Babu.

Kodiyeri said Babu’s revelations should be considered as a confession and also urged to register a case against Sudhakaran. But Thiruvanchoor said it cannot be considered as a confession as it is different from his other statements. He also denied registering case against Sudhakaran. When the speaker denied permission for the motion following minister’s reply, the opposition later walked out of the assembly.
