Thursday, July 26, 2012: The Municipal Corporation has banned cooking in open spaces and the sale of uncovered food. Food should either be kept covered or stored in glass containers.Action will be taken against breach of the rule from Monday and food items will be confiscated.
The city Corporation authorities have said that stringent action, including closure, will be initiated against hotels and eateries in the city that fail to comply with sanitation and food safety standards even after being issued notices.
