KOTTAYAM: An ABVP activist, who was seriously injured in a clash Chengannur Christian College campus yesterday, succumbed to his injuries at the medical college hospital here early this morning. The dead was identified as Vishal (19), a student of NSS College Konni and a native of Mulakuzha.He came to Chengannur to participate in a reception arranged for first year students in the college. Three persons were injured in the clash. Meanwhile, ABVP will stage a state-wide agitation in protest against the clash. The BJP has called for a hartal in Alappuzha district today.
Two students Vishu Prasad (19) and Sreejith (20) too had received injuries in the clash.
