Two CBI inspectors suspended

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CBI is reported to have suspended two inspectors attached to its unit in Thiruvananthapuram. Official sources said the CBI had suspended the officials pending detailed inquiry on the basis of an allegation that they had attempted to intercept internal communication between their superiors. Earlier, the agency had transferred the officials to Kolkata and Guwahati after their names cropped up in the “suicide note” purportedly written by another CBI official, Haridutt, prior to his death. The officers, Unnikrishnan and Rajan, had moved the Central Administrative Tribunal challenging the department action against them.
