Committee constituted to study milk price hike

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A programming committee was constituted to study the proposed hike in the price of milk.

The committee will study about the hike required to compensate the loss faced by dairy farmers due to the hike in the prices of cattle feed.  

The committee will submit report within a week.

Milma chairman P T Gopala Kurup said that it is absolutely necessary to hike the prices of cattle feed and the directorial board will meet after the report is presented to decide on the hike in milk price.

Police had earlier arrested those DYFI and AIYF activists who barged into the meeting hall and raised slogans against the hike in price of milk.
