Manjula Chellur sworn in as Chief Justice of Kerala
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Acting Chief Justice Manjula Chellur assumed office as the Chief Justice of Kerala. The oath of office was administered to her by Governor H R Bharadwaj at a function held at the Raj Bhavan at 11.30 am Wednesday morning. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Law Minister K M Mani and many others attended the function.
She was appointed as the acting chief justice of Kerala last November while serving as the high court judge of Karnataka.
A full bench sitting including Chief Justice Manjula Chellur will be held at the Kerala High Court at 11. 15 am tomorrow morning. She was appointed acting chief justice when Justice Chelemeswar, the then Chief Justice of Kerala, was elevated to the Supreme Court.
