VS’ befitting reply to Lawrence

KOCHI: Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan’s befitting reply to M M Lawrence, who criticized the former for not taking part in the Punnapra strike.

VS said, “Lawrence, father of four children, is a person who admitted his own wife to the mental hospital. A complaint was lodged against this by his second daughter asking me, who was the then chief minister, to save her mother.  I contacted the doctor attending her and directed him to examine her properly.  I had also warned him of taking stern action if any lapse detected. He then secretly told me that he was innocent and was acting as per the directions of Lawrence.”

VS warned that those who know all this should not make him say more.
