State to consider CBI probe into TP murder case
KOZHIKODE: The state government was seriously considering a probe by CBI into the murder case of RMP leader T P Chandrasekharan in Kozhikode a few months ago, Home Minister Thiruvanchiyoor Radhakrishnan said Monday..
Talking to reporters after visiting his wife K K Rema, he said an appropriate decision will be taken by the cabinet after consultation with legal experts on the issue. Stating the government accorded due importance for a CBI probe into the conspiracy angle of the murder on May 4 as demanded by his wife and other relatives, he, however, said the government was not in favour of weakening the case already filed by the police.
Meanwhile, Rema said she was firm on her demand for a probe by the Central agency to unravel the conspiracy angle in the case.
