THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said he disapproves of P C George for having attended the BJP-sponsored ‘Run For Unity’ event. He said his opinion is not different from that of KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala in this regard.
The chief minister was speaking to the media after the cabinet meeting on Wednesday. He also added, “the act of attending a programme cannot be compared with that of meeting a batch of delegates from another state.”
Chandy said he did not agree with Transport Minister Aryadan Muhammed’s comment that State Finance department lacked discipline. “K M Mani is a good finance minister. He has taken a liberal attitude towards welfare and developments programmes. Because of this, we have been able to do many good things for the public. “If the exchequer has had to bear additional expenses, all the ministers in my ministry, including me, are responsible for that...” he said.
