High command directs to maintain present status in seat allocation

NEW DELHI: The high command directed the KPCC to maintain the present status in the state in connection with the seat allocation in the Lok Sabha polls. At present the congress has 17 seats, Muslim League two and Kerala Congress one. Meantime, the high command has directed not to allocate any seat to the Socialist Janata.

The Lok Sabha polls are of prime importance for the congress. The Congress national leadership has asked KPCC to choose candidates in all the 17 seats. Winning chances should be the criteria while choosing candidates.

The Lok Sabha polls are seen importantly following the major blow the congress suffered in four states in the assembly polls.

It is sure the allied parties may turn against the seat allocation, but the high command examines that they will be able to make them aware the importance of it. If needed, a representative of the AICC will attend the UDF poll committee meeting.
