KOLLAM: Parippally police have arrested an auto rickshaw driver, an accused in several criminal cases, under Kerala Anti-Social Activities Prevention Act (KAAPA). The arrested was Manjesh (26), the son of Mohan of Paripally Kottaykkaram Kizhakkevila house. Earlier, the police had banished him as per Goonda act.
“As he continued with his criminal activities after his return, he was arrested again, this time under KAAPA,” said the police. The last case against him had been relating to the attack on auto drivers at Parippally. The arrest was carried out by a team led by SI Jayakrishnan following the instruction of Chathannur ACP S Shiva Prasad. He will be shifted to Central jail today.
