Police kidnapped us: Rupesh

COIMBATORE: Arrested Maoist leader Rupesh and his aides were presented in Coimbatore Judicial First Class court on Tuesday. The court granted their judicial custody till June 3.

Meanwhile, Rupesh shouted to media persons at the court premise that he and his aides were  being ‘kidnapped’ by the police from Andhra.

“I had gone to Andhra with my wife for a treatment. The police who kidnapped us from Vindhya (in Andhra) were cooking up the story that they were arrested from Coimbatore. We have not done anything wrong,” he shouted to the media persons who had crowded at the court premise.

Rupesh also said that he and his aides were mentally harassed by the police during the detention and his wife had sought medical help in the court. He affirmed that he had not done any anti-national activity.
