KOZHIKODE: Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan met JD(U) State president M P Veerendra Kumar on Sunday. The meeting took place at Kozhikode guest house. However, Veerendra Kumar told media persons that they had a personal chat on their health issues and it had nothing to do with politics.
“VS knows that I am not well. So he enquired about my health. When leaders meet, they show the courtesy to enquire about one other’s health…No politics was discussed,” he said.
When asked whether he would take part in the CPM seminar tomorrow to commemorate Keluvettan, Veerendra Kumar said, “there is no doubt about it.. JDU will take part in programmes held against Sangh Parivar politics, irrespective of its affiliation to the UDF.”
