THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala will start getting monsoon rains from June 3. Earlier forecast was that monsoon will reach the State on May 30. The condition for the monsoon is just building up and hence the delay, opines Met officials.
Strong winds are likely to blow at 60-70km/hr inside the sea region. This phenomenon is known as low level jet flow.
However, the Met department has informed that the wind's pace will be only between 45-55km. This could also be an indication that the monsoon will not be strong this time.
Meanwhile, Monsoon has reached Mali, Lakshadweep, Sri Lanka and Andaman and Nicobar island.
