KABUL: Four Indians including two Keralites were among the 14 killed in an attack claimed by Taliban on a Kabul guesthouse on Wednesday night.
Mathew George (68), a native of Kochi and Martha Farrell (56) of Kollam, were the two Keralites killed.
George, a chartered accountant located at Kadavanthra in Kochi, had gone to the Indian Embassy in Kabul for auditing purposes. Martha Farrell was the spokesperson for a training programme conducted by the Aga Khan Trust. She represented Delhi-based Participatory Research.
The other two Indians killed are R K Bhatti and Satish Chandra. Among the others killed in the five-hour assault were an Italian, his Kazakh wife, a US national, an Afghan holding a British passport and two Pakistani nationals.
