NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court Friday gave consent for PDP chairman Abdul Nazar Madhani, arrested and jailed in Karnataka Jail in the Bengaluru blast case, to visit Kerala. The court granted him five days to visit his ailing mother. The court directed Karnataka police to arrange the required security for Madhani. The court passed the favourable verdict on Madhani’s plea seeking relaxation in his bail conditions.
The apex court expressed displeasure in delaying his trial and asked the Karnataka Government the reason for it. As the time allotted to complete the trial ended yesterday, the Bengaluru additional city civil and sessions court informed them yesterday that it would take two years to complete the trial.
Madhani is likely to reach Kerala tomorrow. He will get a copy of the court’s order this evening and later he will have to inform his travel details to the court. After reaching Thiruvananthapuram from Bangalore, he will go to Kollam by road.
