30 injured as buses collide at Pampady

KOTTAYAM: Around 30 persons were injured when a private bus collided with a KSRTC bus on Kottayam-Kumily Road near the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RIT), Pampady, on Saturday morning. The police said the private bus, coming from Erumeli to Kottayam, was trying to overtake a lorry, when it collided with the KSRTC bus going in the opposite direction to Mundakkayam. The lorry too was caught between the collided vehicles. The seriously injured passengers have been admitted to General Hospital here.
