THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said that there is nothing unnatural about the Vigilance Court ordering further probe into bar bribery case. “It is a normal procedure. There is also no circumstances that demand Finance Minister K M Mani’s resignation,” he said at a press conference here on Thursday.
“Bar bribery case is based on mere oral statements. We can draw parallel between this case and Palm Olein Case. In the Palm Olein case, when the court ordered further probe, I didn’t resign. But Winson M Paul is quitting Vigilance Director’s post according to his conscience. Let bar bribery case be a topic of discussion during the coming Local body polls and the UDF would explain the reality to the public,” he added
