NEW DELHI: Chief secretary Jiji Thomson said cow meat was not served at the Kerala House in Delhi instead buffalo meet was served. Talking to reporters after visiting Kerala House, he said a complaint will be lodged at the Parliament Police Station in connection with the incident.
The Kerala House authorities had informed me that buffalo meet was served. Buffalo meat is usually served at the Kerala House. The Delhi police may have conducted a raid out of misunderstanding. The incident is taken seriously. A complaint has been lodged to the resident commissioner against those who barged into the Kerala House. It is the duty of the government to assure the safety of the employees, he said.
In reply to a question whether there is any political conspiracy, he said it cannot be said. Further steps will be taken after a detailed examination, he said.
