THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Contrary to Advocate General’s suggestion, the Vigilance wing has come out in favour of giving appeal against the latest court verdict that has put Finance Minister K M Mani in the dock again.
The department has given a letter to the home ministry seeking its permission for giving appeal. In the letter the Vigilance directorate has also mentioned that the verdict would paralyse its functioning.
Earlier, in his meeting with the chief minister, the advocate general had advised against the government’s decision to go for appeal against the verdict. The Vigilance department had also decided that it would move court later to remove remarks against Mani.
