THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Women’s Commission has given instruction to the DGP to file a case against Left fellow traveller Cheriyan Philip for his Facebook post that allegedly humiliated women’s morality. Earlier, the Commission had sought report on the issue.
It was Cheriyan’s post on ‘shirtless’ march taken out by the Youth Congress that turned controversial. The offensive statement in the post was that women Congress workers who secretly disrobed for Congress leaders had got seats in elections.
The post raised political storm, with women and political leaders coming out to take Cherian to task. As controversy worsened, Cheriyan apologised for his ‘Fb act’.
