THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: DGP T P Senkumar has criticised Police Housing Construction Corporation M D DGP Jacob Thomas’ comment on the Vigilance court’s latest verdict on the bar case.
“Jacob Thomas has not probed the bar case and as that is the case, it is not right on his part to have passed a comment. He should have meant something else by saying he was avoided in the case,” Sen Kumar said.
“Kumar said there could be disciplinary action against Jacob. Winson M Paul is an honest police officer and he had made only an honest intervention in the bar bribery case,” Kumar said.
Jacob Thomas had opined that the Vigilance court’s latest verdict was a right decision. “The court had performed its duty well. FIR was registered after prima facie evidence was found against Mani. In any inquiry there would be some impediments and only that happened in this case also,” Jacob had said.
Meanwhile, Jacob Thomas said he would respond if disciplinary action was taken against him.
