NEW DELHI: VHP today demanded strong action against those behind the alleged serving of beef in Kerala House in the national capital.
VHP joint general secretary Surendra Jain also termed as a "deep conspiracy" to include 'Beef' in the menu of Kerala's state guest house and writing it in Malayalam while all other items were listed in English.
"VHP demands strong action against serving beef in Kerala House," he said, and demanded action against all those who prevented Delhi Police from taking samples from the mess.
"It is very condemnable and illegal to include 'beef' in the menu of a government mess and written in Malayali while all other items served there are listed in English," Jain said.
The VHP leader also said beef across the world is known as 'cow meat' and listing it in the menu of a government mess is "mischievous".
The outfit also condemned leader of Opposition in Kerala Assembly V Achutanandan's alleged comments in assembly that hurt Hindu sentiments.
A political row broke out over Delhi Police entering the state-run Kerala House on a complaint that it serves beef with Chief Minister Oommen Chandy condemning the "raid" as "unfortunate", which was also backed by his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal.
