Oommen Chandy calls on Bishops

KOZHIKODE: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy called on Kozhikode Bishop Varghese Chakkalakkal and Thamarassery Bishop Mar Remigius Inchananiyil at Kozhikode Bishop House Tuesday morning at 7.30 am.

The meeting was held at a time when the church was constantly raising criticism against the government on the Kasturirangan issue. The bishops later told reporters that the chief minister had assured to solve their anxiety on it. No discussion on politics were held, they added.

Meantime, the chief minister refused to divulge the details of the talks.
