Key accused in bank heist held
KASARAGOD: Providing yet another breakthrough in the daylight robbery of Rs 5.13 crore worth gold and cash from the Kudlu Service Cooperative Bank branch here, the police have nabbed a prime accused in the case from Virajpet town of Karnataka’s Madikeri district. The special investigation team probing the case nabbed Mujeeb, 30, a resident of Chawki in the district, on Saturday, said Kasaragod Dy.SP M V Sukumaran. With this, the total number of arrests in the case went up to five. The police had received definite clues on the whereabouts of another accused identified as Jomon, hailing from Ernakulam, he said.
