Sunday, August 21, 2011: There was a bid to break open the Union Bank ATM near the Kahangad town on Sunday early morning at around 3 am.
When the security personnel heard a loud noise, they saw attempts being made by some persons to shift the ATM machine. On seeing the security staff, the robbers fled the scene. Kahangad police have started an investigation into the incident.
