Friday, August 19, 2011: The Kerala High Court division bench on Friday imposed a stay on the process of seat allotment for engineering courses. Declaring its verdict the Court ordered a status-quo till Monday and directed that no admissions must be made on the basis of the recent list. The rank list for admissions to this year’s engineering courses was prepared after calculating the marks of the entrance exams and that of plus two examinations.

I am a student,waited for allotment all these days ,and i missed even a chance to join for atleast a degree by this time,..why these cases dint come up till the last day of allotment..why didnt they express their wishes when the new system was established...or atleast as soon as the rank list was published... this is gonna affect many thousand students like me very badly who waited just for this :( :(
this is not fair.. why are these people playing with our future.. itz reeli bad.. y dint these people cum up with ol der opinionz earlier.. this is not the time 2 think about ol this.. eventhough there are a lot of problemz dealing with ranklist.. even i am a cbse student.. this is injustice done 2 students waitng for allotment
The petition was first heard by Court on March 7th 2011. ie, allmost six months. Delay in the verdict was by the judicial procedures.
Actually the delay we suffering in our allotment were completely by the CEE and Govt. This case now just moved the 3rd phase commencation from sunday to monday.
The upper half of ranklist may happy and looking for admission. But I am sure, there are many more talented guys are suffering in the bottom half by this stuppid ranklist. This delay also blocked entrance to cusat almost for some of us, which was very easy in last year. This year is one of the worst one, to somebody who would like to start their engg. career.

is it possible to release another rank list, if high court cancels the current rank list? i got 150 mark in keam but only 30 thousand rank as state school give maximum mark for thier students.one of my friend got only 47 marks in keam and got 19 thousand rank as he got mark in 12 due to C mark system and liberal correction procedures.this really affects average cbse students.SO WE WELCOME YHE HIGH DECISION AND HOPE FOR NEW ENGINEERING RANK LIST ONLY BASED ON ENTRANCE MARKS SCORED.
thanks to the petitioners...my rank went low cause of normalisation....it would be appreciated if the high court verdict is in favour of us , to prepare list only on the basis of entrance marks.....:)
Those who studied hard and got good marks with the hope that they will get good ranks are not fools.They will also go to court if their ranks are effected.
Before the entrance exam the court should have given stay for the new procedure.
In this final stage this is highly unfair to go back to old system ,which will further complicate the issue.
Only those students who got poor marks in the +2 are affected.
In the present situation the marks should be considered taking in to consideration the complaints of the CBSE and ICSE,preferably without normalisation.

If taken without normalisation almost 75% of seats can be acquired by state sylabus students only.. CSE and ICSE students dont get grace and free marks as state sylabus do.. So comparison between those is highly unfair and should be removed... New rank list must be published.. The sats must be given to the right students...
What is with the govt?..Student study for entrance exam from the start of plus one...they give more importance to entrance exam than public exam and some over 10% student go for repeaters batch wasting their one year to study.My friend got 268 marks in entrance and she only got 23,000 as her rank but my other friend got only 155 and she got nearly to 13,000. How can this be fair?. plus two mark is not correct way to compare different standard students .The rank list should be changed and bring back the old system of entering rank list.
this is a cheating for state students....i rejected my bsc seat after my entrance rank.if new ranklist publish i lost all my oppurtunities.i have got full A+ in +2. then now i am in a situation that i lost my engineering seat too. pls new rank list destroys our aims and ideas
A girl with 48 marks for entrance was given 500/500 for boards and got around 1000 rank..at the same time one of my friend with 420 got only 4000 rank just because he studied cbse.. myself with 310 marks got a rank of 8800 which should hav been 4000 if board marks weren't added... entrance exam is a common platform were student's knowledge is tested.how can a person who cant even score 50 marks out of 960 score get a rank around 1000? the rank of most isc and cbse students doubled..
THE GOVERNMENT CANNOT PREVENT TAKING THE NORMALIZATION MARKS AS IT IS SAID IN THE PROSPECTUS,BUT ATLEAST THEY CAN MAKE UT FAIR FOR CBSE STUDENTS I GOT 308 MARKS AND ENDED UP 5900
Hi,,I would like to say somethng regarding this.Actually this is not the time to think about the calculation of marks.because its already done. Lots of people will suffer badly for one probs. This calculation method they are declared before the plus two starts.if well studied means will get high mark knw.Even the first rank student has high mark and high score like that. We are in big trouble by facing these.
If one need high mark means should study well.In Kerala syllubi,there are not offering marks.If u study well then only will get high marks in state also. Its shame on u people telling like cbse or icse is the best one. If it is best means that people canm study and secure high marks knw.dont blame others
