Friday, August 19, 2011: The march taken out by the All India Students Federation (AISF) activists to the Secretariat demanding the government to take over the self-financing medical management seats, turned violent today. The activists were blocked by the police who erected barricades for preventing the protestors from entering the secretariat campus. This led to minor scuffle between the police and the activists. The police then used water cannons to disperse the agitated mob.
