Kannur leader directed to kill TP, says Rajeesh

KOZHIKODE/KANNUR: It has been hinted that one of the masterminds nabbed in connection with the murder of RMP leader T P Chandrasekharan told police that the crime was committed as per the instruction of a noted CPM leader of Kannur and a former MLA.

The mastermind nabbed and identified as T K Rajeesh told the special investigating team that Kodi Suni asked him to join the team entrusted to commit the murder.

Panur area committee member P K Kunhanandan, who has gone underground now, directed Kodi Suni to include him in the gang. Rajeesh has confessed to the team that they had planned to kill TP six months before. He is being questioned by a team led by Thalassery DySP  A P Shoukatali.

Rajeesh said that he just obeyed the directions of some leaders to kill TP who tried to stain the image of the party in Vadakara. He also told police that since last January he was keenly watching the movements of TP. The leaders had assured to save him from any difficulty. The plot was hatched in some main bars and some secret centres in Mahi, Palloor and Chokli.
