Sudhakaran seeks CBI probe into murder of Jayakrishnan Master

KANNUR: Senior Congress leader and MP K Sudhakaran today demanded CBI probe into the murder of former Yuva Morcha State leader Jayakrishnan Master. Addressing a press conference here today, Sudhakran said the state government should take proper action to handover the case to CBI based on the disclosures made by T K Rajeesh, who has been arrested in connection with the murder of Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP) leader T P Chandrasekharan.

He said it would be better that the CBI probed the case as it was an old case. He said yesterday’s statement of BJP leaders that Congress and CPI (M) had sabotaged the demand for CBI investigation into the murder was baseless.

Terming the murder as the most brutal, he claimed that 36 students, who witnessed the murder in a class room at Mokeri in the district, had to undergo psychological counselling to get out of mental shock.

He said the Special Investigation team (SIT) probing the Chandrasekharan murder was doing a good job, but they made a big mistake by releasing Koothuparamba CPI (M) Area Committee Office secretary Babu who was detained in connection with the case. He said the Home Department should find out on whose instruction Babu was released.
