THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Congress (B) Chairman R Balakrishna Pillai has said that Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had promised a cabinet seat for his son K B Ganesh Kumar but betrayed him by going back on his words, after the election. “Minister’s post is Kerala Congress’ right”.
“Former Union minister of State Kodikunnil Suresh was witness to the chief minister’s statement that K B Ganesh Kumar would be made a minister. Now, there is no point in holding discussions. I don’t know whether they are planning to prolong the discussion till the next assembly election,” quipped Pillai.
The former minister said that he felt certain Congress leaders were hell-bent on preventing Ganesh from becoming a minister. “Solar scam accused Saritha has said nothing against Ganesh where as there are names of certain MPs and MLAs in her statement. But the veracity of those statements will have to be checked,” he added.
