Govt not for a conflict with centre, says Chandy

THIRUVANTHAPURAM:  The government is not eager to have a conflict with the new government assuming power in the centre, said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. Administration and protests are not the policy of the UDF.

Briefing reporters after the weekly cabinet meet, he said differences of opinion on political issues and cooperation in administration are entirely different. He said this while reacting to Narendra Modi becoming the Prime Minister.

A decision on additional plus two batches in schools will be taken tomorrow. Additional batches will not be granted in schools not having basic facilities. 189 applications have been obtained for additional batches.  Only a batch will be granted in one school, he said.

No assurance was given to K B Ganesh Kumar on the ministerial post. I just said will consider it, he said.
