THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Post the announcement of election results, there have been rumours that cabinet reshuffle will happen soon. But the Congress men are still uncertain over it.
The last report to reach here says that K B Ganesh Kumar will re-enter the cabinet. His father Balakrishna Pillai has been constantly pressuring the chief minister to take his son into the cabinet as the former had said that he would think about cabinet reshuffle after the election.
However, the irony is that there is no vacancy in the cabinet, as of now. Maximum number of seats is 21 and all that is filled. When Ganesh Kumar resigned there was one seat left which got filled when Ramesh Chennithala took over as the home minister. Now, to throw the door open for Ganesh kumar, one minister will have to resign. Who will be that person? That is a puzzling question since already discontent is brewing in the Congress A group that all important portfolios are with Congress I group. So the chief minister may even have to think of avoiding a minister very close to him, from the cabinet.
