THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Electricity Minister Aryadan Muhammed has said that the current situation in State demands a hike in electricity tariff. There is a shortage of Rs 2,900 crore for the Board.
“In order to increase the tariff, the Board needs the permission of Regulatory Commission. The government should also recommend for hike in tariffs,” said the minister, who added that the government had not taken a decision in that regard.
