Legal steps will be taken on standard bars, says Chandy

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: All the 418 bars closed will not be opened, said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. However, legal steps will be taken on standard bars. Some of the bars opened are of substandard. I don’t know how the 317 bars opened are functioning, he said. The government is trying to implement a complete ban on liquor by reducing the availability of liquor in phases, said Chandy.

If anyone has been defeated in the Lok Sabha polls, it is because of their own faults, he said. They could not have been defeated if their doings were good. They are blaming others, as they could not criticize themselves, he said.
