MOOVATTUPUZHA: A doctor in Moovattupuzha on Saturday allegedly operated on a 6-yr-old boy’s genitals by mistake, when actually, the lump to be removed was in his heel.
The incident happened at Moovattupuzha Taluk hospital and the doctor responsible for this medical negligence is reportedly one Dr Tehzool J Rasool there. Later, after coming to know of his blunder, he surgically removed the lump from his heel, as well.
The issue kicked up a row after the parents gave a complaint to Hospital superintendent in this regard. Following this, the child was taken to another hospital in Kozhancherry for further treatment for which the doctor agreed to foot the hospital bill.
