THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a tit-for-tat reply to Muslim League mouthpiece Chandrika’s editorial blaming Rahul Gandhi for UPA’s poll debacle, Congress mouthpiece Veekshanam, on Thursday, came out with a strongly-worded editorial.
The editorial criticises Chandrika for squarely blaming Rahul Gandhi for Congress’ dismal performance. “Muslim League paper’s act of verbally abusing Rahul in the backdrop of election results is far below the level of decency. Can the League show one party which is not individual-centric? Even Muslim League thrives on Panakkattu spiritual glory. When Kerala has faired well in Lok Sabha election, Leauge’s paper is trying to play spoilsports. They better stop this…Moreover, it was inappropriate from the League’s part to choose Rajiv Gandhi’s death anniversary itself to criticise his son,” says the editorial.
