Despite all controversies, we knew that Ramachandran will open gates: Minister V.S. Sunil Kumar

THRISSUR: The celebrity tusker Thechikkottukavu Ramachandran has been in the news lately for a ban imposed on him and later for his King-like entry to the pooram festivities. Minister V.S. Sunil Kumar who earlier had said that the people responsible for Thechikkottukavu Ramachandran will be answerable if things go out of control, has now changed his stand. “Despite all controversies, we knew that Ramachandran will be the one to open the gates of gopuram”, Sunil Kumar said.

“There were several cases at the SC regarding fireworks, on which the government obtained a favorable verdict. Then came a huge controversy in the case of Thechikkottukavu Ramachandran. Despite all controversies, we knew that Ramachandran will be the one to open the gates of the gopuram. We tried for that. Even though Ramachandran is just a carrier of the idol who open the gates, it is a feeling only Thrissur natives can understand”, Sunil Kumar added.
