Such Modi 'bhakts' should be expelled immediately: Congress leader lashes out at A P Abdullakutty

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC member M A Rohit has come down heavily on Congress leader A. P. Abdullakutty for praising Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi sky-high. “Such bhakts (devotees) should not be allowed to stay in a big political institution like the Congress and they should be thrown out,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
Earlier in the day, Abdullakutty had come out with a pro-Modi post, shocking the Congress and surprising the BJP as well as the Left parties.
In the post, he had, one by one, laid out the schemes and projects brought out by Modi for the poor that catapulted him to better political position. He even described Modi as a prime minister who really followed Gandhian values as he remembered the face of the poor while conceiving each project.
“None of the people who preserve Congress tradition will not say or write a word, extolling Modi. I have felt that A P Abdullakutty is a man who always cozies up to authority. To retain that he sides with and find cover under the word development. He can praise Modi and make him the hero of development…but it should not be at the cost of the Congress…..If you plan to go, go immediately to your old tent or Modi’s tent…for us, both are equal…” says Rohit on his FB post.
